This course is suitable for both people in the workplace and members of the community and is recognised in all states and territories.

This course covers the following:
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

During this session, you will learn both the theory and the practical application of first aid skills pertaining to most emergency situations. You will learn how to identify signs and symptoms and provide first aid assistance in accordance with the Australian Resuscitation Council, ARC guidelines and other relevant Australian national clinical corporations like Safe Work Australia, the National Asthma Council, the Epilepsy Foundation and Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy.

You will cover elements such as preparing to assist with medication, preparing the client for assistance with the administration of medication, supporting clients with the administration of medication, handling medicine contingencies, completing medicine distribution and appropriate documentation.
