BookItLive technical issue with registered SMS Sender IDs not being shown
From 1 July, 2026, new Australian Communication and Media Authority (ACMA) regulations regarding the use of SMS Sender IDs came into force which prevents business entities from sending customers SMS messages displaying their business name or accepted alias unless that business SMS identifier has been registered to ACMA’s Sender ID Register. Any unregistered SMS Sender IDs from 1 July, 2026 onwards will be overstamped with the SMS Sender identifier “Unverified”.
Recently, bookitLive has been assisting its business users with completing application of their nominated SMS Sender IDs to the SMS Sender ID register. Despite successfully registering your business’ nominated SMS Sender ID to ACMA, bookitLive has noted that SMSs being sent our by its business users are still being overstamped with “Unverified”.
We are working closely with our SMS service provider to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
We sincerely apologise to our users for this error and thank you for your patience and understanding while we work to address this issue.
